WHAT WE DO
TMM made blood donation camp computerized by maintaining a database repository of 3000+ voluntary blood donors. TMM also felicitates blood donors who have already donated blood more than 10 times. The organization has been instrumental in collecting 10000+ units of blood every year. Three camps are held annually. Tarun Mitra Mandal is the leading organization for voluntary blood donation of Mumbai city.
Having carved a niche in the blood donation movement, Tarun Mitra Mandal decided to launch the Yuvraj Eye Donation Movement on the 50th anniversary of India’s Independence August 15th , 1997. Yuvraj Eye Donation Movement is the largest city wide organization in the world. It also got a place in Limca Book of world records. Tarun Mitra Mandal is collecting highest number of eyeballs in entire Maharashtra and is giving the eyeballs to the Eye Bank Co-ordination and Research Center.
The journey of TMM began in 1968 with the establishment of a Book Bank of Shri K.V.O.S Jain Mahajan. At the beginning of each academic year, students get an entire set of required textbooks against nominal refundable deposit. Every year, Book Bank issues textbooks to 1200+ students , with the support of this project. It is presently operated across 6 centres in Mumbai at Chinchpokli, Mulund, Ambernath, Nalasopara, Ghatkopar and Dombivili so as to reach out to as many needy students as possible.
TMM provides fruits and food to patients of hospitals like WADIA CHILDRENS HOSPITAL, TATA CANCER HOSPITAL, NAIR HOSPITAL, K.E.M HOSPITAL. TMM also arranges food for patient’s relatives who come from out of Mumbai.
The Right to Information: The Window to Silent Revolution. Tarun Mitra Mandal has organized various seminars & workshops, which finally culminated in commissioning of 12 RTI centers in June 2007 across the Mumbai city. Through these centers, citizen are assisted, guided and empowered to file RTI Applications. 80+ Professionals like CA’s , Engineer’s, MBA’s,Lawyer’s etc. joined this Abhiyan.
9 Students of Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College took up this initiative further to remarkable level with full support of K.V.O.S.Jain Mahajan. The youth team was undertaking lectures as well as practical classes.
Till now 1000+ students have successfully completed this course through 5 batches.

The idea is to build an open learning space where kids, students, and adult can get access to Books, Toys & Tools. We also have a team of Artists, Engineers, Designers, Educators, and Facilitators. They have been working and doing intensive research for a long time to start a learning space where children would be taking an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding learner inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. To create a truly personalized, DIY, self-driven, learner-centric and continuously evolving/iterating environment we understand our students as learners.
